Munnar
Munnar got its name from its strategic location at the confluence of 3 rivers – Muthirapuzha, Nallathanni, and Kundala Rivers. ‘Moon’ suggests that ‘three’ and ‘Aru’ suggests that ‘river’. The region is placed at a height of around one,500 m to 2,695 m higher than water level and was once the summer capital of British in South Asian nation.
